The National High Magnetic Field Laboratory at Florida State University is planning to build a state-of-the-art magnet system that will transform the study of complex environmental and biological samples. A better understanding of fossil and biological fuels, for example, could lead to applications for reducing carbon emissions and the development of new, sustainable fuels.

They often show and animal, and then explain how nature has caused it to evolve, and they go on to give reasons why the animal has evolved to its current state – ultimately, because it’s better for its survival. So, what is the current state of the study of evolution? Do we know for certain why certain animals have evolved the way they have? Or are we merely speculating and making theories that could explain why it has evolved this way? I’m really interested to know if we have concrete evidence explaining why something evolved the way it did?
